The Verge Student Housing in Cincinnati Achieves LEED® Gold

Brand New Residences for the University of Cincinnati

A Focus on Sustainability

The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) recently designated The Verge in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio LEED® Gold Certified. Opening its doors in August, this six-story, 495-bed, mixed-use development is aimed at offering new housing opportunities to the local University of Cincinnati student population, whose campus is located directly adjacent to the site. In addition to its residential component, The Verge provides ground floor retail, two landscaped courtyards, a state-of-the-art amenities center, and a two-level, 385-car parking garage. Almost fully-leased after only two months of opening, the project is expected to complement the growing need for off-campus housing at this burgeoning downtown university.

Please join us in congratulating Gilbane Development Company on this exciting new project, and their ongoing commitment to green building practices, energy conservation and sustainable design.
