Oasis at 30th Street

Indianapolis IN

The Oasis at 30th is a 124-unit Assisted Living Residence located on the eastern edge of the city of Indianapolis, IN. Developed by the Integral Group out of Atlanta, Georgia, and funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits administered through the Indiana Housing Community Development Agency, this residence is one of the first of its kind in providing affordable Assisted Living services to a vastly underserved segment of the community.

The apartment units are designed as fully Independent residences, with full private living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. The common areas providing the Assisted Living services include a large, communal Dining Room, a Commercial Kitchen, Activity Rooms, TV Lounge, Exercise, Salon, Computer/Library, Resident Care Office, and Personal Care suite. A large, two-story Lobby with a fireplace and an open stair to the second floor balcony provides a welcoming, homelike experience to residents, guests, and staff. An exterior Dining Porch adjacent to an enclosed, south facing courtyard that includes a gazebo and winding walking path encourages residents to enjoy the outdoors and provides opportunities for additional exercise.

Energy efficiency is also a key factor in the design of the project, with the building meeting the strict requirements of the National Green Building Standard. High levels of insulation with energy efficient doors and windows, Energy Star rated light fixtures, low flow plumbing fixtures, and low VOC building materials keep the residents comfortable while enjoying a safe, healthy indoor environment.
