One sure sign of spring is celebrating the groundbreaking for new construction projects, such as 100 Monitor Street in Jersey City, which is where K&A was on Tuesday, April 10th. Ironstate Development Co. is the lead developer in a joint venture with capital partners Brookfield Property Group and Landmark Developers to build this five-story mixed-use building offering 309 luxury rental units immediately adjacent to the Liberty Station, Park & Liberty Science Center.
In addition to some retail space, the Johnston Avenue frontage of the ground-floor will soon become the new offices of The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA). 100 Monitor Street is not only a continuation of transit-oriented development in Jersey City but is seen as a catalyst for the further realization of the Morris-Canal redevelopment vision to focus future investment in what promises to be the next ‘ to neighborhood in Jersey City.
