(October 18, 2012)  Congratulations to Federation Housing, Inc. on the recent ribbon-cutting for the Samuel A. Green House, an 85-unit Senior Residence in Elkins Park, PA. The three-story building is designed to blend with an existing limestone mansion that remains on the site. The new building also provides management offices, a large community room with adjacent serving kitchen, resident lounges, craft room, computer room, wellness suite, salon, laundry, and a Chapel. Extensive common spaces are designed to support activities, programs, and and enhanced services that will enable residents to maintain independence for a longer period of time. Outdoor amenities include walking paths, a covered patio, gazebo and raised planters.

The project also features a central solar hot water system that provides hot water to the entire building. K&A was honored to provide design services for this wonderful project.
