Eastampton Sustainable Housing Eastampton, New Jersey

This exemplary project involved design, development, and construction of 100 affordable family units located on a 25-acre site in Eastampton, New Jersey. The development features two- and three-bedroom residences, a community building, several tot lots, an open recreation field, bike paths, and jogging trails.

Under the State of New Jersey’s new “Sustainable Development in Housing Pilot Program,” this project was selected from a large and competitive pool of applicants to receive development funding. Sustainable design and development criteria were utilized in the overall planning and project design. These principles aspired to minimize the impact on the environment, conserve natural resources, encourage superior building design to enhance the health, safety and welfare of the building users and occupants, provide durable, low maintenance facilities, and make optimal use of existing infrastructure.
