Bound Brook Downtown Redevelopment Bound Brook, New Jersey

K&A was the Planner for this 406,857 GSF project located East Main Street in the heart of Bound Brook. The design of the Downtown Bound Brook Transit Village was based upon the key principles of smart growth: urban site in-fill, enhancement of transit opportunities, and downtown redevelopment. Designed to encourage active pedestrian traffic, the design successfully supports both existing and new retail services and expands residential use while remaining respectful to the Bound Brook architectural and urban context.

The parcel closest to the Train Station includes a mixed-use, 5-story structure with ground floor retail and 40 residential loft units above. Another mixed-use structure consisting of street retail and 122 residential units is located on the parcel along East Main Street and includes an adjacent 421-space parking garage for commuters, building residents, and downtown shoppers.
