(November 1, 2012)  K&A Principal Mary M. Johannesen, AIA, LEED AP recently returned from presenting at the National PACE Association’s annual conference in Los Angeles. The session addressed the wide range of considerations that are critical to selecting the best location and building to develop a PACE Center. Fellow panelists included Dorothy Ginsberg from Altitude Edge Consultants and Mike Snow from Volunteers of America.

K&A’s PACE experts are regarded as the “go-to” team for planning and design of PACE Centers throughout the country. Integration of experience and expertise in healthcare and senior living, combined with sensitivity to the needs of the frail elderly, help K&A design facilities that are welcoming and comfortable, as well as highly functional and operationally efficient.

The National PACE Association (NPA) exists to advance the efforts of Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE®). PACE® programs coordinate and provide all needed preventive, primary, acute and long term care services so that older individuals can continue living in the community. For more information on PACE visit
