Queen Lane Apartments

Philadelphia PA

Situated on one city block in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, K&A provided comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for the redevelopment of Queen Lane Apartments. The project consisted of the demolition of an existing fifteen-story, 119-unit, high-rise apartment building and the design and development of a new affordable apartment community, offering a total of 55 units in five buildings.

The finished Queen Lane Apartments will offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units in walk-up, flat and townhouse configurations. Six of the units on site will be fully handicapped accessible, while another two units will provide devices to assist hearing- and visually-impaired residents. Centrally located on the site will also be a management office and multi-purpose community space for use by neighborhood residents.

Queen Lane Apartments has been widely accepted by the community, its neighborhoods and residents. It is the recipient of a Pennsylvania Apartment Association’s Annual ‘Best in Apartment Living’ Awards, Gold Award for Community Presentation, and a NAHRO Award of Merit in Housing and Community Development.
