Stephen L. Schoch, AIA is a principal of Kitchen & Associates Architectural Services. He currently serves as the Director of Housing, dedicated to both the social and architectural issues that are central to addressing the need for high-quality housing opportunities at all economic levels. Mr. Schoch and K&A have remained leaders in the field of affordable housing for over a decade by continually raising the bar for the design of housing for low and moderate income residents. Much of this work entails the adaptive reuse of existing buildings as new housing units, giving new life to many architectural gems and rebuilding the fabric of existing neighborhoods. When designing new construction housing, Mr. Schoch is committed to carefully integrating new communities into the existing built and social environment, contributing dramatically to the overall success of the project. He utilizes his expertise in sustainable “green” architecture to ensure environmentally sound results from the beginning of a project through the duration of occupant use.
A graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Steve Schoch is a Registered Architect and an active member of the West Jersey Section of the American Institute of Architects, BOCA International and the Emerald Housing Visioning Team (a sustainable design roundtable).
