Throughout his 19 years with K&A, Eugene F. Schiavo, AIA, P.P. has served as project manager, associate, and is currently a principal of the firm. He provides project management and cost estimation for architectural and planning projects with particular expertise in the renovation of existing structures and the design of public sector facilities. Some of his most notable work has been for the Department of Defense and the United States Postal Service, with recent focus in the restoration and new construction of university and other academic buildings.

With a Masters and a B.S. degree in Architecture from Catholic University, Eugene Schiavo is a licensed professional planner in New Jersey and holds his NCARB Certification with architect registration in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. He is also a dedicated member of the American Institute of Architects, New Jersey Society of Architects, West Jersey Society of Architects, American Society of Industrial Security, Sustainable Energy Association of New Jersey, MidAtlantic Solar Energy Associates, American Section of the International Solar Energy Society and the U.S. Green Building Council. An expert in sustainable design and energy analysis, Mr. Schiavo is also co-author of the publication “Energy Conscious Design Guidelines for Public Housing of Montgomery County” and a co-editor of the HUD publication “Regional Guidelines for Building Passive Energy Conserving Homes.”
