West Turner Residences is a joint project between Sacred Heart Hospital (now St. Luke’s Hospital) and Pennrose Properties located in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania offering Allentown seniors a four-story residential apartment building, with sixty-one (61) new units of affordable senior living. Comprehensive architectural and engineering design services were provided by Thriven Design for this award winning project. The project also takes full advantage of its proximity to St. Luke’s Hospital, providing a variety of on-site amenities and medical services for residents. The new development has been fully embraced by Allentown City Council, and is a tremendous asset to the Center City district of downtown Allentown.

West Turner Residences is an Enterprise Green Community, and represents one of the first Multifamily Passive House Certified buildings to be built in the State of Pennsylvania. It was the recipient of the Best Project Award in the annual DVGBC (Lehigh Valley chapter) Sustainability Awards and won the Best Senior Housing Development as well as Best Overall Project in the annual Affordable Housing Finance Readers’ Choice Awards.
